Top 10 Universities with highest number of applicants in JAMB 2017. JAMB has released the list of top 10 Universities in Nigeria with highest number of applicants in JAMB 2017.

The figures obtained here are culled from PREMIUM TIMES and it show the list of 10 most sought-after universities in Nigeria in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2016, excluding 2015 and 2017.

1st Position: UNILORIN

UNILORIN had the highest number of admission applications for any university in Nigeria between 2012 and 2016, admission statistics from the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board show.

The ranking by JAMB indicates that UNILORIN was first choice for admission seekers for three years, and only came second behind University of Benin in 2012.

In all four years, UNILORIN had 411,340 or 25.76% total applications for the UTME.

2nd Position: UNIBEN & 3rd Position: UNIZIIK (NAU)

The University of Benin ranked second with a total of 331,178 or 20.56 % applications, while Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, had the third highest number of aggregate applications of 305,790 or 18.65%.

4th Position: UNN & 5th Position: UNILAG

The fourth and fifth places were held by the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and University of Lagos respectively.

IMSU

Imo state University, Owerri, was the only state university that appeared on the ranking twice, that is 2012 and 2013.
