Babcock University post UTME admission form. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admissions into Babcock University (BU), for 4-, 5-, AND 6- year Degree Programs for the 2018/2019 academic session.

BABCOCK UNIVERSITY GENERAL ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.

Minimum qualification for the First Degree Programs: 5 credits at the GCE/SSCE/NECO Examinations or their equivalent (at not more than 2 sittings); one sitting only for Medicine & Surgery. Candidates below 16 years of age are advised not to apply.

CANDIDATES AWAITING 2018 WAEC/NECO SSCE RESULTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PRESENT ACCEPTABLE QUALIFICATIONS BEFORE MATRICULATION.

All candidates who APPLY DIRECTLY to Babcock University are REQUIRED to sit for the current JAMB examination (for 100 Level) or apply for JAMB Direct Entry admissions (for Direct Entry). Candidates who apply for Transfer Admissions need to present JAMB Admission letter and transcript from previous University and Attestation Letters.

– Degree Offered: B.A. (Hons.) History & International Studies
– Requirements: 5 credits in GCE/SSCE/NECO including English Language, History/Government and any other 3 subjects.

• Department of Languages and Literary Studies

– Degrees Offered: B.A. (Hons.) English Studies
– Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Literature in English and any other three subjects.

• Department of Religious Studies

– Degrees Offered: B.A. (Hons) Religious Studies & B.A. (Hons.) Christian Religious Studies.
– Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, CRK or IRS and any other 3 subjects for [1] and CRS for [2] above. A pass in Mathematics is required for each of the programs.

• Department of Education

For No 5 above, 5 credits in O’level result including English Language and Mathematics and any other 3 social science subjects.

Direct Entry: Holders of NCE, OND, HND or equivalent can apply for Direct Entry

– Degree Offered: B.A. (Hons.) Music
– Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, and any other four subjects.

B. SCHOOL OF LAW & SECURITY STUDIES

• Department of Law

– Degrees Offered: L.L.B. (Hons) Law
– Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Literature in English, Mathematics and any other two social science subjects.

– Direct Entry: Advanced level in Higher School Certificate or Bachelor of Arts degree in any related course from any accredited University with second class lower division and above. Candidates must present their transcripts and O’ level results- as stated in the O’ level requirements above.

C. SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCES

• Department of Accounting

– Degrees Offered: B.Sc. (Hons) Accounting
– Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant subjects.

NOTE: A pass in Economics may be considered provided the candidate has a credit in Accounting or Commerce.

• Department of Banking & Finance

– Degrees Offered: B.Sc. (Hons.)/ACIB in Banking & Finance(5-year program)
B.Sc. (Hons.) Banking & Finance
– Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant Social Science subjects.

• Department of Business Administration & Marketing

– Degrees Offered: B.Sc. (Hons.)Business Administration & B.Sc. (Hons.) Marketing
– Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Economics, Mathematics and any other two relevant Social Science subjects.

NOTE: A pass in Economics may be considered provided the candidate has a credit in Commerce or Business Methods.

– Requirements: 5 credits (at one or two sittings) in English Language, Chemistry, Biology/Agricultural Science, Mathematics and Physics/Geography, Home Economics or Food & Nutrition.

Direct Entry: HND with at least a lower credit pass in relevant disciplines. A minimum of pass in Mathematics is mandatory.
Direct Entry: Holders of ND in relevant disciplines with five credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture and Geography or Economics

– Degree Offered: B. Agric (Hons) Agronomy & Landscape Design (5-year Program)

– Requirements: 5 Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

• Department of Physiology

– Degree Offered: B.Sc. (Hons) Physiology
– Requirements: 5 Credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

• Department of Biochemistry

– Degree Offered: B.Sc. (Hons) Biochemistry

– Requirements: 5 credits including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other Social or Science subject for Public Health.

• Department of Medical Laboratory Science

– Degree Offered: BMLS (Hons) Medical Laboratory Science
– Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

I. SCHOOL OF NURSING SCIENCE

• Department of Nursing Science

– Degree Offered: BNSc. (Hons.) Nursing Science
– Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Direct Entry students, a candidate is required to:

(1) be a Registered Nurse (RN) with the N&MCN. In addition, possession of at least one post-RN certificate e.g. Registered Midwife (RM), Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN) and Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) would be an advantage.

(2) Possess satisfactory result at the SSCE or its equivalent in five subjects at not more than two sittings, which must include English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

(3) Submit official transcript of all the nursing programs to be used for the admission.

(4) Submit current license from the N&MCN at least 6-9 months expiry duration.

(5) Produce letter of reference from three people which may include the current employer.
